Kebyart Ensemble is one of the most promising formations of the current music scene. Born in Barcelona, it consists of four talented young musicians who are passionate about chamber music. They have a fresh and vibrant staging which has been praised by audiences and specialized critics. Their interpretations have secured them some of the most prestigious national awards.
Among their awards there are the Orpheus Swiss Chamber Music Competition (2018), El Primer Palau (2016), the prestigious BBVA Music Prize – Montserrat Alavedra (2016) and the First Prize at the Les Corts International Music Competition (2018). In 2015 they were awarded at the 84th Edition of the Chamber Music Competition organized by Jeunesses Musicales Spain.
Kebyart Ensemble has offered concerts throughout all Spain and also abroad in countries such as Germany, France, Russia, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. They have been programmed in the seasons of Palau de la Música Catalana, Auditori of Barcelona, Fundación Juan March…
Created in 2014, they have been coached by renowned musicians such as Kennedy Moretti, Cuarteto Casals, Cuarteto Quiroga, Hatto Beyerle (Alban Berg Quartett), Artemis Quartet, Jerusalem Quartet, Johannes Meissl, Nacho Gascón and Vincent David, among others.
Since 2018, they are one of the ECMA (European Chamber Music Academy) groups, where they will have the opportunity to work with some of the most prestigious chamber musicians in Europe and offer concerts for different European capitals. They are currently based in Basel where they study with Rainer Schmidt (Hagen Quartett), bassoonist Sergio Azzolini and pianists Claudio Martínez-Mehner and Anton Kernjak.
Their approach to music goes in three directions: the original repertoire, the commitment with nowadays music and the transcriptions of other formations works with own transcriptions.
Their first album Accents has been praised by the specialized critic. Since 2017 they are Selmer and Vandoren artists.
